Never in the history of the Gosplel Day has false doctrine or doctrine without biblical foundation been accepted as truth.
Pentecostalism in its multitude of different forms has become one of the greatest deceptions in these last days. Apart from their obvious false doctrine that one cannot receive the holy spirit unless one speaks in tongues, their endtime theology at best can be described as both sensational and fictional. It lends itself to merchandising and profiteering.
We have the various Baptist groups who claim to be Christians but by their doctrine of water baptism reveal themselves as antichrist and pagan. To claim that one must be watered baptised to become part of the church is in direct conflict with the word of God. We are baptised by "one Spirit" into the body of Christ which is the church of God.
Closer to home, there are many who go by the name "Church of God" who have fallen for the heretical teachings of Augustine of Hippo. It is from his false teaching that the doctrine of original sin or inherent sin was formulated which in turn led to the heresy of entire sanctification or two works to a full salvation.
The Bible does not teach original sin, but that each child is born as Adam was created; innocent and holy. When children come to the age of accountability they become accountable for their own sin only.
The Roman Catholics and Anglicans consider Augustine a saint and the patron of the Augustinian religious order. Many Protestants including the Baptists, Brethren and Presbyterians Calvinists consider him one of their theological fathers having formulated the doctrine that became the backbone of Calvinism.
Is also interesting that it was Augustine who first taught that Satan was in the Heaven of God and rose up against God and subsequently after a war in Heaven was cast to the earth. That belief many hold today is in direct opposition to the omniscience, omnipresence and omnipotence of God.
We covet the prayers of all who are truly hungring and thirsting for the truth.
